St Michael's Sports Passport:
We have had our first recipient of the Gold Award and fittingly it was our Boys Sports Captain. Over the academic year, he has participated in 20 different sports.
Many more will hopefully follow.
We welcomed back the European Frisbee Champions to lead some workshops with every class. All children were involved and loved being taught how to throw and catch the frisbees properly. The biggest star was the dog who was the best catcher of the day.
Cross-Country trials and competion:
Our Sports Captains helped to lead the trials to find 3 girls and 3 boys from each year group. The team went to a competition at Ellingham and had one 1st place, two 2nd places, 1 3rd place AND were crowned the Year 4 Girls and Year 5 Girls Champions!
Sports day is around the corner and we look forward to this annual event
Week beginning 13.02.17
Multi-skills Year 3/4 event
WE WON! With a total of 1327 points
On Wednesday 15th February, twenty children from Year 3 & 4 took part in a multi-skills festival against 8 other schools including Branton, Felton and Swansfield Park. There were eight activitites to take part in including throwing, balancing, jumping, running and relay races.
OUr teams were amazing and supportive. They worked together and listened well. Their behaviour was impeccable and they were great role models for our school.
Well done team!

Week beginning 31.10.16
During our first week back, the school team had our first training with our new school goals. They must have inspired our Girls goalkeeper as she had an amazing training session!!!
The Jellyfish and the Narwhals had the first of their Rugby Sessions with Bear; everyone loves him, especially when he changes our names around!
We are awaiting the first winner of 5 different sports for the Sports Passport.
