Anne-Marie Trevelyan comes to visit

23rd October 2015
We were very proud today to welcome Anne-Marie Trevelyan into school.  She is our MP (Member of Parliament) and as one of our Year 2 children explained - helps to look after us and the country.  Anne-Marie is trying to visit all the schools in the constituency - the most northerly in England. She visited each class and had a wonderful discussion with all of our children.

After this Anne-Marie joined our parents for a cup of coffee in the hall before coming out to to the playground to help with our JETS launch.  JETS is our new after school club which offers high quality after school care each day from 3pm - 5pm to meet the needs of our families.  We are very proud that it is run by our very own staff.  After a count-down - Anne-Marie launched JET balloons and the children posed for photos.  All the children also enjoyed JET-shaped cookies baked by Tina in the kitchen.

A super way to celebrate the end of half-term in style.
