Y5 Visit York
21st May 2018
The Year 5 Leopards were treated to an exciting day in York this week. Catching the 6.50am train was a challenge but everyone was raring to go. Once arriving we enjoyed a photo trail around the city, had a walk along the ancient walls, made sketches of the magnificent Minster, investigating Coppergate - a Viking street and learned about archaeology at DIG. The children were also finding out about Viking Art and artists for an ongoing project. The day ended with an ice cream in the park. It was a lovely opportunity to be together as a class, visit a new city and develop independence skills in readiness for Yr6. What a great day!
