Glendale Countryside Day

6th June 2019
The Seahorses class had a fantastic day out at Glendale Countryside Day. We learned all about life in the countryside. There were so many different things to see and do including; buying sheep at an auction, watching sheep getting sheared and their wool being spun and made into jumpers and felt bracelets, we learned how to do CPR with the paramedics as well as learning to play the Northumbrian pipes. There were tractors, combine harvesters, sheep dog shows, dancing sheep, field to fork displays, bees making honey and so much more. We even got to taste pheasant...yummy! We were very lucky to be given a bag in which we collected lots of freebies from all of the stands. Being in the fresh air, learning about life in the countryside was absolutely fascinating and by the end of the day we were all absolutely exhausted! A great day was had by all.
