Corona Virus Feedback from parents

Despite the challenges over the last 4 months we have been delighted to receive such positive feedback from our parents.  These have been anonymised for safeguarding purposes:

Just a quick email to thank and commend the staff at St Michael's for the work they have done during this pandemic. My child has consistently been given engaging and challenging tasks throughout lockdown which we feel have really helped to continue her development during this period. Tasks have been interesting, varied and well set out with a range of resources to help us parents understand them. Work has always been set on time and marking and feedback have also been timely with a constant stream of communication… I understand how challenging this has been, but St Michael's has certainly risen to those challenges!

Thanks again and a huge well done!

My Child is looking forward to seeing you all in September.

I write to compliment yourself and the team at St Michaels for all the daily work uploads and updates over this period of Home Schooling and isolation.

Having been at home during this period and sharing my child`s schooling with my wife, we have both been assisted enormously by the daily lesson structure and various daily topics and tasks. Whilst there have been some tears, tantrums and stamping of feet and that was just me! We have enjoyed each part differently and have learnt new things from bossy verbs and the fact butterflies smell with their feet, through to oo, er, ie,ch on read write phonics, I do so miss my daily Fred talk!

My child is enjoying being back in school and the company of other children, thank you again for providing a structured and safe environment for his continued learning.

Best regards

Dear Mr Johnston

I wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you, to you and all of St Michael's staff for your amazing efforts over this period.

It has become clear to me, from speaking to colleagues with primary age children, that we are extremely lucky to have received such structured and well thought out online learning resources. Many of my colleagues have received very little from their schools and have had to try to educate their children using resources they have found online themselves. Some are worried that their children may be falling behind their classmates. They are stressed, upset and confused by the whole situation.

I really do appreciate the efforts of everyone concerned at St Michael's. It has made my task so much easier and I feel confident that my child has not missed out on anything compared to his peers.

I would also like to thank the staff for their daily feedback. My child has found this really encouraging and motivating.

I look foward to getting back to some sort of normal in September and seeing you all at school again.

Thank you all again.

Kind regards
